Microphone Options

This page is a list of the microphones that I currently have to work with.

Ideally, this list will grow whenever I have the ability to reinvest in the business.

Shure SM7dBFirst and foremost, the Shure  SM7dB.

This is the microphone I expect to get the most use out of. This being one of the industry standard microphones, I was compelled to get one to ensure I had the proper equipment to do the job right.

Audio Technica AT202

Next up, the Audio Technica AT2020.

This is a microphone I already had and have used for years. Generally acknowledged as a decent starter mic, I thought I might make this available to prospective clients. It doesn’t pick up as much of the bass in my voice as the SM7dB, but it certainly serves its purpose.

Alpha USB-C TM Travel MicThirdly,  an AlphaMic USB-C travel mic.

A good thing came in such a small package. Despite its tiny size, it can capture the same clarity as the AT2020, but it also sports a much lower noise floor than either of the above mics. It also has the advantage of being a mobile mic, so I can use it anywhere if you desire a particular ambience.

That’s all for now. Perhaps you find yourself in the position of not really being able to hear a distinct difference among the available samples, or not particularly caring. That’s understandable and perfectly fine. I just want to provide every option I can. Unless a preference is given, I will likely default to the SM7dB.

I will try to keep this page up-to-date, but it may be some time before I acquire additional microphone options.
